Amazing Family Adventures

We’re excited to announce that our brand new book, Amazing Family Adventures, is out now! It’s available from the National Trust website, National Trust shops, Amazon and other book shops (RRP £12.99).

Amazing Family Adventures 2

We loved writing this book. It’s been an non-stop adventure for us, learning, crafting, visiting National Trust places across the country and – of course – sampling the coffee and ice-cream too.

Our adventures

In 2015, we spent a year living under canvas in some of Britain’s most beautiful places on an amazing adventure of our own. Our wild year gave us the time and space to explore, learn and overcome challenges together as a family. Inspired by our experiences and the growing body of evidence showing that all family members need time outdoors and time to be creative, we decided to write a book.

What’s inside?

The book is filled with 50 of our favourite family adventures, along with lots of inspiring ideas and suggestions for some of the best National Trust places to do them. We’ve included plenty of opportunities for fun, experience-based learning too, from history and geology to learning the names of the plants, animals and insects you might spot while you’re out and about.

There are suggested itineraries for incredible weekends away, practical guides for making and building things and plenty of photos to showcase lots of the beautiful, exciting places to visit. Although National Trust places are perfect for adventures, we’ve carefully chosen 50 you can have wherever you choose to go.

We think spending time outdoors and having adventures together as a family is AMAZING and want to spread the message far and wide. If you do pick up a copy of our book we hope you enjoy it – and thank you!
