Festival Time

This September we’re delighted to be leading guided runs and family adventure talks at two of our very favourite festivals: The South West Outdoor Festival and The Good Life Experience. Whether you’re a festival first-timer or a regular on the circuit, we’d thoroughly recommend joining us to celebrate the last days of summer in style.

The National Trust South West Outdoor Festival runs from 8-10 September in the breathtaking surrounds of Cheddar, deep in Somerset’s Mendip Hills. The famous Gorge is the country’s tallest inland crag and home to some classic rock climbs – you can even have a go yourself with climbing sessions running throughout the weekend. There’s a stacked lineup of inspiring speakers including Ordnance Survey’s GetOutside Champions, Anna McNuff, Jamie Mcdonald and Matt Heliker.

Sit around the fireside and join in with informal discussions on adventures of all kinds, from campfire cookery to story writing. Come along and talk to us about family adventures on Sunday at 2.30. Or get involved in one of the many adventure activities on offer over the weekend – choose from a vast range including trail running, mountain biking, archery and even snowboarding. We’ll be leading a trail running skills session followed by a scenic guided run on Saturday at 3.30.

Join us for a run around the beautiful Hawarden Estate at The Good Life Experience

The Good Life Experience runs from 15-17 September on the beautiful Hawarden Estate in Flintshire. It’s a weekend of entertainment, activities, music, books, food and fun in the great outdoors. This is a dog-friendly, family-friendly event and really great for kids of all ages – the vintage fairground rides were a big hit with our two last year. You’ll find some of the country’s top chefs, authors, poets and craftspeople alongside the Idler Academy and Beerbods – truly something for everyone. For the second year in a row we’ll be leading guided 5km runs around the wilds of the estate on Saturday and Sunday mornings – a perfect way to start the day.

All of our guided runs and talks over the course of the two festivals are free to attend and included in the price of your ticket. We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
